R-Ladies CDMX (Jul 2012-present). Co-founder and co-organizer of Mexico City’s chapter. We organize talks and workshops on R, creating safe spaces for gender minorities to learn and grow as R users.
Mexican Statistical Association (Oct 2019-present). Board committee member (voted position). I collaborate on organizing events and maintaining the webpage.
CDSB - RMB (Jun 2018 - present). I participate as R instructor with the Mexican Community of Bioinformatics Software Developers (CDSB) and with the Mexican Network for Bioinformatics (RMB).
UseR! 2021 (Jul 2021). I participated on UseR! 2021 Program Committee, as part of the Abstract Review Committee and the Award Review Committee. I also volunteered as zoom host and marmot (helping attendees find their way during the conference).
Escuela AME (Sep 2019). Co-organized a 3 day workshop on Data Science, the offer included workshops in Bayesian Statistics, Spark and Data Analysis.
Fulbright García Robles (Jan 2016 - Apr 2019). Experts evaluation committee member. I reviewed grant applications and interviewed candidates pursuing graduate studies in the USA.
1000 Girls, 1000 Futures (Oct 2015 - Sep 2017). 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures is a program from the NY Academy of Sciences that takes on the challenge of getting more women into STEM. As a mentor, my role was to guide and support high school students.
